Marnie Power’s days are busy facilitating press conferences, editing blogs, supervising photographic shoots and managing a team of young and budding photojournalists.
As a Digital Technology teacher in the primary sector, Marnie designs innovative learning programs that connect students to real world experiences. A recent design-thinking project involved students learning how to portray empathy in portraits by interviewing an acclaimed UK photographer.
She discovered photography 20 years ago as a teenager, converting her parents’ laundry into a dark room, and has since developed a keen appreciation for the importance of getting the perfect shot – one that connects with the audience.
