Colours are very symbolic.

I love the colour red, but sometimes it is menacing like blood-red waters of Laguna Roja in Northern Chile. The locals believed that some curse could affect those who approach these red pools.

I appreciate the blue for the variety of shades: from lovely pale to deep cobalt, from ink to turquoise, a never-ending mixture of tints. It was breathtaking to see all these shades while flying over the biggest glacier in Iceland, Vatnajokull.

I adore unexpected bubblegum pink of spectacular Pink Lake in Australia. I don’t want to think about the scientific explanation that this colour comes from a dye created by bacteria that lives in the salt crusts; it is boring. I want to believe that if you go swim there, you become pink as well.

I paint my days with colours, and this makes me happy.
