I decided to choose photography as it is what makes me happy because I love experimenting and making amazing photos that not everyone could create. I love when I take a photo and show it to someone to see them confused on how exactly I made the photo how it is. I feel like long-exposure photography is something that not a lot of people know about and is a hidden gem in photography.
Photo 1 (Roller Coaster): I had an idea to create a light trail photo but without the cars and with only torches and other light sources. We set up the camera and set it to a shutter speed of 30 seconds and then me and my friend went into the road and turned on our torches and phone torches then we started the photo and ran around like headless chickens and hoped for the best.
Photo 2 (The Road): This second photo was taken in my local town where I was originally going to take photos of the highway under this road, but there seemed to be more people going back and forth down the road than the highway. So I set my Canon 1300D on a tripod just beside the road and set it for a another thirty-second exposure and waited until I could see cars coming in both directions and then took the photo. What you can see in the photo is the headlights and taillights of cars.
Photo 3 (Highway): This third photo was taken right next to the second photo. It’s a long-exposure shot of the highway. The photo was taken with yet another thirty-second shutter speed on a tripod overlooking the highway. But if you look closely you can see a car indicating.
