In July 2018 I travelled through Ethiopia to photograph the people and their way of life. I ventured to remote places to capture the life and traditions of the custodians of the land.
The people live a very simple life yet I was taken back by how content they were. The tribal people did not own much and everything they had was to share. They seemed to harness a happiness that is non-existent in Western world, one that is free from conditions, happy with the simple things like playing in the rain or throwing stones.
Being there changed my perceptions of what is important and what really makes me happy. These photos are an attempt to present the simple bliss I experienced from the Ethiopian people.
