WRITTEN STATEMENT

These photos are of some garden invaders that I have found in my backyard. I took them to show that, when you look further than just the surface, you can find other not-so-pleasant guests.

These guests can take many forms. Some can be beautiful, such as the close-up photo of the moth. And the close-up photo of the mushroom looks beautiful, but then we realise it’s a fungus that we don’t want in our backyard! The photo I took of the caterpillar is clear and beautiful, but the caterpillar itself is bad for my backyard because it eats all the plants and destroys the garden slowly. But then it turns into a beautiful butterfly, which is a lovely addition to my backyard!

As much as I don’t want these invaders in my backyard, I can appreciate their beauty and I hope I have shared that in my photos. Always remember, these invaders are the aliens of the garden!
