WRITTEN STATEMENT

It’s always a delight having flowers in the garden – but I also find them just as interesting when they start to fall apart, as they tend to take on a far more individual appearance. That is definitely the case with these three gerberas. After picking what was left of the flowers, I explored the garden for natural lighting that might highlight them in different ways. I decided to include gerberas as they remind me of my grandmother, as she always grew them, so I am now very excited to have some of them in my own backyard. All the photos were taken with an Olympus SH-2 and have had only minor editing.
