I chose my location, Dongara in Western Australia, because of its meaning to me. To me, it’s home, and I want to show people the little towns of Dongara and Port Denison so they can experience different places. I chose a low F-Stop so my photos would experience a bokeh-style background. I also chose a fast shutter speed to capture the fast kangaroo. My jellyfish photo imparts a sense of place because the beach is my second home. it is where I spend most of my time and when we swim we share the beach with other animals, including the jellyfish I captured. My kangaroo photo captured country life here in Dongara. It really portrays us as a country Australian town, which is my home. The sea urchins show a sense of home because my favourite beach is full of them and I wanted to capture their beauty and the seaweed, which most people think is gross.
